This has been one of the most influential experiences I have had in my life. I thought my dance career was over after my dance team was cut five years ago. When I decided to start the team up as a club I never knew whether it would be successful or not. Each year it continued to grow in so many aspects. The dancers we received at tryouts each year were better dancers. Talented dancers wanted to be a part of our team. Our dances have grown as well over the past four years. I have grown as a leader, a dancer, and a choreographer through this experience. I didn't start out as a dance education major. However, through this project, I knew that I wanted dance to be in my life forever. I currently teach at a dance studio here in Cedar City, I know that this experience has helped me become a better teacher to the little dancers I get the privilege to teach.
As I have mentioned before this team has gone from being a part of college athletics, to being non existent, to being a club, and now it is back in athletics. I hope to stay and coach this team even after I have finished this project. I hope it can continue to grow to be the best it can be. I'm so grateful for this incredible learning experience. I have gained so much knowledge, enjoyed so many amazing memories, and obtained friendships that will last forever.
